Al GoreAl Gore is asking us to step up and make a YouTube video and submit it by April 19th, 2010 for Earth Day on April 22nd, 2010.

YouTube is teaming up with the former vice president and his organization, the Alliance for Climate Protection, to create awareness for Earth Day.

Gore is asking users to create and upload brief and inspiring videos that tell the world why they’re passionate about climate change and their favorite related organizations. There’s also an added incentive for would-be YouTube heroes to get a lot of visibility for their organizations and themselves.

Chrysler Fiat 500EV All Electric Car for US

Chrysler Fiat 500 EV

At the recent Detroit Auto Show, Chrysler announced plans to engineer and produce the Fiat 500EV for the United States sometime in 2012.

Although details are sketchy, there will be a power-plant with at least 3 main systems:

  1. An advanced lithium-ion battery
  2. High-power electric power-train module
  3. An EV control unit to manage overall power flow
