Comment Open to EveryoneYou'll notice a little purple box beside a lot of things on this site that shows that you can comment on the article and how many have commented so far.

If you wish to comment, you can now do this without having to be a registered user. However...

One of the drawbacks of doing this is that it tends to allow computer spamming to take advantage of the open threads to promote whatever. Something that we're not all that supportive of.

So, if someone wants to comment without registering, they can do that, but a couple of extra fields need to be filled in. The most important of these is the CAPTCHA field. A CAPTCHA or Captcha (pronounced /ˈkæptʃə/) is a type of challenge-response test used in computing to ensure that the response is not generated by a computer.

To comment, you can click on the purple box identified by the red arrow above, or READMORE, then"leave a reply" as indicated below.

Comment Example - Leave a Reply

The CAPTCHA field indicated below will ask you to enter the characters to ensure you're not a computer spamming us. Laughing

Comments Open - CAPTCHA field

We've made the entry simple (for now) to see how things go. We may switch to something else if the spam starts to get the better of us.

As always, we are appreciative of your feedback...
